Ketchup and Fairy Queens with Nicole Kidman

 Nicole Kidman and I decided to meet up at a photoshoot she was having. I like to see the newest designs as much as Nicole. When I arrived, I noticed she had on a bra top and a pair of pants which was pretty typical for her to have on something sexy. Nic loves to model. On the set, she is always a blast. Between her serious poses, she allows herself to create unique and funny expressions. The poses she strikes with her wild side are equally as funny. Nic has never been one to take herself too seriously, but to always be 100% there as a professional. Being a talented and passinate dancer has helped Nicole to espress herself in unique ways within the modeling world. Dancers are typically very flexible as well as they know how to move. She is always in demand as a model. I love watching her work.

 That day, the photographer had given Nicole some flowers. They were in a vase on the set. Before long, we were both placing the flowers in our hair and using some of the flowers as wands to transform into Fairy Queens. Fairy Queens is a part of her. We were transforming into different creatures, casting love spells as we freed the Princess, waged battles against evil, and other fairy duties.  Everyone on the set had a great time as the energy became very whimsical. The enchantment spread to the photographer as he shot some very dramatic images that were never released. It was such a fun day.

Another great photoshoot story is about Nicole and her famous red shoes. Nicole Kidman has a pair of red shoes she likes to take to her photoshoots. The pair of shoes has been used in several photoshoots. They represent her wild side. Nicole is tall and the red shoes enhance her amazingly long legs. The red shoes were also one of the shoes she wore on one of her first few dates with Keith Urban. Keith knows the shoes mean is he in for a wildly fun night. Nicole can make any night fun and fantastic with her playful imp. Keith bought a pair of yellow sneakers with he wears whenever Nicole wears her red shoes. He likes to tease her saying "They are like mustard and ketchup, a perfect pair." I think that is because Keith likes to have fair food once and awhile. Hot dogs are a fun food especially with ketchup and mustard.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's Sweet Music

 Nicole Kidman has a one of a kind relationship with her husband Keith Urban. They are both such loving people that combine into such an adorable couple. I feel they wake up singing. Sometimes Keith and Nicole literally do wake up singing. She sees him as the most romantic cowboy she has ever met. Nicole sees Keith as handsome and someone who knows her so well. He even knows where she keeps her side stash of brownies. Nic says, "Keith has always been able to read me like the back of his hand. His instinct is uncanny, but in a beautiful way. That unspoken understanding is part of what  makes us get along so well." Keith says she is the sunshine in his eyes. He has never been as happy as when they are together. Spending time with them both is always so much fun. They make you feel like you're a part of one big happy family.

Nicole and Keith love to do impromptu and planned concerts for their friends. Their voices are so exquisite ,but when combined in a duet, even more so. Their little shows are always cheorographed or at least they seem so. I think it is the way they read each other that makes the dancing flow. Many of us have seen them singing in the car,in public outings, and in their home. Those little performances, just like in their videos, go on all the time. When they sing, there is always a little twinkle in their eyes. The wholesome lifestyle Nic and Keith cherish is real and every bit as fun as it seems. The pair have been smitten with each other since the day they met. Their affectionate lifestyle choice inspires others to be more loving. It is something they do naturally. the couple's affectionate ways draws people towards them. Love is contageous. The concerts aren't all country music. There is usually a mixture of music sung. Even showtunes from different musicals have been known to appear in the concerts.

Nicole Kidman's Creative Hobbies

Nicole Kidman has recently started sewing and creating dresses for her girls and their dolls is a new fun habit. She knows I have been working on a style of doll that is part sculpture and part carving. It is kind of hard to explain but each carving is very unique. Nicole expressed an interest in learning to create dolls as collectibles like the ones you see in a china cabinet or on display. We both like the ornate faces and are drawn to beautiful objects. Nicole mentioned she would love it if I created a unicorn for her. She knows I have been creating sculpture for awhile. I am getting quite confident in it. I will work for hours at a time just completely lost in creating. Art is a part of my chemistry since I never go very long without creating art in some media. The visual arts like dance, acting and even singing are included throughout the day at random times. Nicole knows how much I love to break out a song and doing the housework while dancing means I enjoy what many do not. 

Another little secret about Nicole Kidman is that she bakes her own Christmas cookies. Now with her daughters getting older, they join in the fun of baking. If she is working on the set of a film or makes a tv appearance, Nic will bring along some of her Christmas cookies. She is an old fashioned girl in a lot of ways.

Recently, Nicole has been teasing me about is the Nature Conservancy approaching her trying to get photos of her turtle rescue foundation and her at home Turtle Reservation. From what she says if the magazine gets their way, you might be seeing her turtles on their pages. The animal lover has mentioned adding ducks to her wildlife collection. Nicole is a great philanthropist - in and out of the public eye. She says Jon Bon Jovi might even add to his homestead a wildlife park after I went public about the reindeer incident. Jon is a huge animal lover so I would not put it past him to have some support in the form of funding going to the care and preservation of animals.

I thought these easy to make Reindeer cookies would be perfect for Jon and Nicole.

While writing a few of her favorite things to do, I thought of how much Nicole loves water slides. They are a favorite. She giggles and smiles with the biggest smile every time she goes flying down one.

Nicole Kidman writes poetry and making up new words to songs is an extension  of her poetry talent. She is a gifted Haiku composer.

One night Nicole and I decided to go to a local bar. She has place she likes to go to and the bartenders know her as Nicky. She has them call her that because it is not a name she is known by very often. I dont know how she got the name Nicky but it is her wild side bar name. Nic is her usual public nickname but Nicky has a sort of flair that in this bar atmosphere it works very well. She lets her hair down. The bartender's always hook her up. She is not a heavy drinker. Keith Urban knows she goes there sometimes and he tags along when he wants to. This time he was not with us. Nicole has known me for a long time. Keith, is one of the most considerate and genuinely loving men. He always asks Nicole how I am especially if he has not heard her mention  me in a while. he knows we have a great time together. Feeding each other's girliness and creative muses is one aspect of our friendship that Keith seems to like. Keith Urban always has such a positive outlook. He always says such nice things to everyone he meets. I know I have said David Spade and some of the other people I write about all say loving expressions on a regular basis. It is true because these guys are all some of the happiest as well as most giving people. Nicole and I had a booth towards the back of the bar. We walked in and joined a few friends we had who were already there. I know that several people inside recognized her since she had to stop and sign autographs which was unusual in private outings like this bar. Most often when people see Nicole in a non publicity event, dont disturb her. If its a publicity or work event then it is very common for people to ask for autographs or pictures. Most people who do see Nicole in a private situation talk to her like she is an ordinary new person they are meeting and it is a very relaxed feeling for both or they simply stay away without approaching her.

 I have a good friend, Rachel, who taught at Oxford University Main Campus in England for years. She attended some amazing events with fantastic people some very well known and others that are well known in certain circles but all incredible. Some people wonder why she never took photos. I think it is because her descriptives bring the event back to life each time. She has amazing memories and an incredible experiences that become clear to you when she speaks. Her Oxford papers are the physical ties to those years. 

Nicole Kidman is one of those people, like my Oxford friend, who speaks quietly of the best things in life contained in their memories as they live their lives living joyfully in the moment. It's commonly called being in the flow. I think I explained before being in the flow is when your so happily engaged in what you are doing that you forget time and you're in the moment. When you remember the flow moments ,you can recall more of the beautiful details in it. The real Nicole Kidman is one of the most beautiful spirits and she fills her friends with so much sunshine it is really hard to explain.

Hanging out with Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman and I both have a funny fun photoshoot we often discuss and laugh about doing. It is a photoshoot wearing a funny costume and posing in a famous pose. If I gave the costume and the pose away, it ruin the surprise and the images would not be as funny when we actually do the session. I could not help mentioning it because the idea of the shoot is one of my favorite photoshoot ideas to do and we both laugh at it. Nicole has a great sense of humor. Nicole Kidman likes wearing costumes and makeup. She has a disguise that she wears when she does not want to be recognized. Her disguise is really good. It is very hard to tell it is Nicole. She looks so different. I remember the first time I saw her wear it, I did not know it was Nicole. She started laughing and pealed back parts of the disguise.

One thing not many people know about Nicole Kidman is that she is an excellent Belly dancer. I suppose there are a few clues to her belly dancing background in some of the dancing in her movies and in some of the outfits she has worn. I also have a belly dancing background. We both have given each other tips from time to time. We share a ballet background as well. Barre workouts are fun.

Nicole Kidman has a similar workout to mine. We both run, do Pilates and Yoga. We have a lot of things to discuss every time we see each other. Nicole and I enjoy working out together since we both love exercise and the benefits workout provides to our bodies, minds and spirits. I keep hula hoops , two mini trampolines and Zumba not to mention workout dance videos for us to enjoy. Competing against each other in hula hooping contests is fun and makes Nicole Kidman and I giggle.

We both love horses. Nicole Kidman and I both ride dressage. It is a formal way of riding that requires skill. You use your legs to communicate to the horse what to do. The reigns are meant to simply rest in your hands but not to be used to control a horse. Nicole Kidman is always elegant. We both ride in an elegant way.

Nicole is very romantic, just as I am. We both love talking about our husbands and our wonderful children. Neither of us can say enough about how much we adore our families. Adoration of others is gift you give yourself. Nicole Kidman and I both love saying nice things to others as often as we can. Looking for the best in each person and telling that person what we love in them, is a wonderful habit we both enjoy. Praising as a way of life brings a lot of joy to us. Our kids and husbands love it when we spoil them with affection.

Since we both love organic foods and our junk food. Whipping up a cupcake recipe that is no the ordinary cupcake is a pleasure. I have lots of good ingredients to make gourmet cupcakes at any time.

Nicole Kidman and I have the same curly hair and fair skin. We enjoy giving each other makeovers and sharing tips. She has given me some of her makeup tips such as using matte white eye shadow to highlight. Nicole Kidman gave me tips of companies she uses and what to buy that now lives in my cosmetic bag. Since she has some of the best make artists in the world who work with her, I always listen whenever she gives me any insight. Yves St Laurent makeup has some products she tipped me off about like their concealer that also highlights. On another note, I have found that Alterna Caviar hair products works well with curly hair like Nicole Kidman and I have.


Nicole and I both like English comedies and of course the famous beauty Dame Edna. Watching reruns of Dame Edna's shows are fun for both of us especially if we have Harvey make us some of popcorn. Even people who don't like popcorn love Harvey's popcorn. It is truly amazing. We have joked about him selling it.

Nicole is proud of her Australian heritage as I am proud of my English heritage and it is another bond we share. We know the same shows, have eaten the same foods and grew up hearing similar expressions. Nicole Kidman and I share our strong faith and enjoy expressing gratitude to God. With so much in common ,we both fit together perfectly.

Nicole Kidman on a Red Carpet Day

My day starts with a nice freshly juiced green drink and some eggs. I like to take a nice long bath in the morning while my kids come and go throughout the day. Sometimes the hair dresser comes to my house. I prefer it if they do. It means my family gets to enjoy watching me. If the stylist has a little extra time, the person will give the girls a little up do or something fun for them to enjoy. Keith peeks in to smile and remind us he is there. Keith always looks so proudly at me. I love having is little impromptu visits.

Before the stylist shows up I enjoy a quick workout. A little cardio on an elliptical or a quick run to get me in the right frame of mind. I do a little weight work to make me aware of my muscles. It is also a physical release that I enjoy.I am usually excited and enjoying every minute of the day.

Once the stylist shows up, the fun begins. I usually have an idea of how I would like my hair done, but not always.

The dresses show up the week before, to make sure there are no problems with how they fit and to allow me time to think about the accessories, hairstyle and makeup. Some designers send over the jewelry as part of a complete look. They send over a sketch that shows my complete look. Not all of them work that way. Designers will however always coordinate with a jeweler. I might get to pick some of the jewelry I wear from a selection the designer and jeweler have assembled for me to wear.

The variety of looks I have chosen is a reflection of the variety of ways I want to be seen. Kim K understands this because she has a variety of looks but they at always sexy.

I enjoy the arrivals. Getting out of the car and seeing all the fans is always a rush for me. Joyful excitement and a little bit of tingle is the best way to describe the feeling I get when I step out of the car. The fans make the whole evening special. The feeling of love I get from them makes me feel lucky and blessed. If Keith comes with me and he usually does, his romantic nature responds to the love he sees being given to me by so many. Keith gets excited and caught up in the moment. I love him even more because of how he makes me feel when we have an appearance. Keith is the handsome Prince and I am the Princess. It's a beautiful feeling and its is really hard to describe.

The Red Carpet gift bags are always really nice. There are a lot of generous gifts inside. I always enjoy them.Yves St Laurent is one company that donates so much and I love seeing their products in the bags. You never know what you will find inside the bag and that is part of the fun.

Zulie's favorite experience at a Red Carpet Event is a little different, but I am sure when I share it, you will laugh.

Angelina Jolie - "Zulie's sense of humor inspires me.Her humor is one of the best. My kids are starting to imitate her. Sometimes, Pax likes to quote Zulie by Pax says "Did Jesus say I had to do that? then I don't" I love Zulie or Evonne as we call her. Our friendship is important to me. Brad and I laugh at her and with her often."



Brad Pitt - "Zulie is the one person I would be with if I was not with Angie. The Angelina and Zulie make me feel happy. I would not be the same without her. Zulie makes sure to say things to me that lift me up higher than I thought I could be. The time we spent together lives with me. Whenever I think of her, I want to see her. We get together often."

Tom Cruise - "Zulie's loving ways touches me.At any moment, she can do something that is completely unexpected, and the way she behaves makes me smile. Other times, she does something that is so wonderful and loving that I fall for her all over again. Zulie loves more than most women can. She always says adoration is a gift you give yourself. Our relationship is like a rock.It keeps us going and bouncing through the days. Zulie is the one person I turn to. Nicole Kidman- "I love Zulie like a sister. Turning to each other for love and support is commonplace for both of us. I enjoy spending time with Zulie. We always have fun. Keith loves Zulie because she makes fun a way of life. Zulie is sillier than anyone else we know. Her loving side, brings out joy. I love the way she brings up God throughout the day in so many ways. Religion is lighthearted to Zulie and its always positive."

The ability to say so many funny things and have his life centered on God, was another of Max's higher qualities. I loved hanging out with him.  Max was everybody's friend"

Max's foundation continues to improve the quality of life of many in Haiti and throughout the world.
