Fun with Prince Harry

 Prince Harry and I decided to take the boat out on the lake that was tied up behind the cabin where he was staying. He likes to fish and I like to try to fish. It is such a relaxing experience to float on the
water and wait for the bite. I enjoy watching the water's gentle rolls. It is so peaceful. Prince Harry is a very fun person to spend time with and he alway shas been. We were as happy as two clams. I would like to say we caught a lot of fish, but I only recall catching two and releasing them back into the water. Prince Harry had a cooler with sandwiches, fruit, cheese and some other snacks. In the distance, there were several boats on the water. Everyone had their own space which meant it was very secluded or at least it felt that way.  We stayed on the water for several hours before we decided to go back to shore. This was before Meghan entered his life, but she wasn't far off his radar.

Meghan changed Harry in so many ways. He says his life as a husband and father is more rewarding than he could have imagined. They are selectively choosing appearances and work which gives them the freedom to nurture themselves and others more. Their involvement has grown into different charity work and they are both always mindful of each other in their plans or assignments. Harry and Meghan have such a unique close bond which began almost form the moment they met. They have a magic that others admire. Finding true love in any situation is challenging and dynamic, but they have done it. There is always a sparkle in Meghan's and Harry's eyes when they glance upon each other. It is very cute, but it also shows their sensitive nature. Meghan is the kind of mother that the Prince calls a constant mother. Her mind is always with her babies. Being a mother is a role Meghan waited for what seemed like a long time to find the right person to start her family with and being a mother is her favorite role. Harry has so many nice htings to say about Meghan both with her and when he is on his own. They are just so sweet on each other and in a way it is like Jon Bon Jovi and his wife. Both couples share the instinct for each other and devoteness that is contagiuosly uplifting. I am glad they have each other in both cases for the dynamics of all of them would be completely different without the magic oment when their eyes connected and time stopped. 

One of the my favorite memories of Prince Harry is when he played a trick on the staff. I have always been a good buddy to him. I am like one of the guys. I stayed in one of the Royal families' homes that he use to enjoy. He had me stay in his room and he stayed in mine. This switch threw off the staff who didn't know where he was at the time. Prince Harry and I had to sneak around to pull this off within the home. We created a stir because the Prince was missing.  Then they thought I was sharing Harry's room which was not like us since we have always been pals. Then the other staff thought he was sleeping in my room. It was so surprising to them to think of us in that way there shocked and blown away expressions were funny. Prince Harry and I do not have that type of dynamic at all so they couldn't believe what was going on. It took everyone a few minutes to figuire out that we had just switched bedrooms to play a trick on them and no monkey business had gone on. Harry likes to play good hearted jokes with his close staff. The Queen heard about it later. I am told she laughed. 

We had a lovely lunch with some of his friends after the confusion had settled and the joke was over. I

am trying to recall the details of the fun, but it seems like a blurr now. Sometimes, I think creating a journal would hve been a create idea from day one, but I didn't at that time. As much as I like cameras, I also never seem to think of taking the photo or the selfie. For me it is like seeing friends and family is for me not for insta. Life moves so fast that thoughts of scrapbooking never cross my mind.

An Afternoon with Prince Harry

 I went to a pool party with Prince Harry. It was in the Hamptons. Harry has a lot of friends with homes there. I liked going to the Hamptons with him. He had a private driver pick me up at the hotel. I wasn't staying there but it was a nice meeting place. We went for a drive around NYC while catching up. Prince Harry is very much like a brother to me or a great buddy. He is he of my favorite people to spend time with. His sense of humor is legendary. He always knows how to make me laugh. We both can get into some funny situations that we set up. I will get into that at a later time. 

We were both a little hungry. Prince Harry decided to set up a late lunch in an NYC English Tea House. Harry and I were excited to go to the new restaurant since it was his first time for both of us, but the reviews were very good. It was between lunch and dinner crowd. Private seating was easy to establish. He can slip in and out of a place when he wants to. He just puts on a hat when he wants to be private. Less people recognize him with a hat. In NYC, celebrity spotting is so common that New Yorkers often respect the distance. 

We had some delicious ginger scones with clottted cream and lemon curd as a treat. The light sandwiches were the favorite. The Prince started doing oragami while we chatted. I have an interest in the art and Harry is very good at the art. It was fun to watch him create. There were several doilies on the table so there was plenty of material for him to use. I asked him to teach me to make one of the birds we had done. I was surprised at how easy it was to create the same exact bird. He feels very comfortable with me so he does things with me that he normally would not do. He treats me like a buddy. We played a game of checkers as the tea room had the game. The Prince loves checkers as much as I do.  The tea experience went on hours but it seemed like minutes. When you are having a great time, time flies. At the time of the tea, he was single, but looking for a commitment. Prince Harry is a very romantic and loving man. I enjoyed the time we had at the tea room until it was time to move on to our next desitnation- The Hamptons with friends.

A Tale of Two Princes-Princes William &Harry

Prince Harry and Prince William have always been very accessible to the school friends they have made over the years. Each of them has grown their own inner circle of pals whom they all count on. This inner circle is privy to some very fun private freestyle events. These get togethers are both princes' opportunities to let their hair down and be themselves. Even though Prince William and Prince Harry have grown up in the public eye, they have kept themselves very human. The Queen allows the Princes to host certain private parties in Buckingham Palace or one of her other estates. When they were kids, they were allowed to explore any estate or palace freely which was unusual since certain protocol had been established for generations. Queen Elizabeth is a fantastic and especially loving Grandmother. She is known for showers her offspring with affection, but all this is the private side of her. Harry use to talk about all the fun they had with their Grandmother.

Both Princes loved to host pool parties. The Queen has a nice selection of floaties that she keeps around for the grandchildren and others. Prince Harry loves to use the huge panda. That was his favorite one.
Harry could often be found floating around surrounded by huge panda arms. Prince William liked to rest upon the very large rubber duckie style floatie. It was hysterical to see them both trying to flip each other over. Spontaneous games of water polo and volleyball sprang up almost every weekend. The staff kept quiet about the comings and goings in order to insure the privacy of the family and of those who were invited. It was a secret club that remains to this day. The sanctity of this inner circle of friends has been carefully guarded .The fun that inner group creates within Buckingham and other palaces is priceless.

Princess Eugenie was like the little sister to both Prince William and Prince Harry. They often invited her over when they hosted events. She is a great buddy and has a vivacious sense of humor that they both found fun to have around.

Queen Elizabeth's sense of humor has always been prevalent. Those who know her often share funny stories of the times they have been caught off guard by one of the Queen's well timed comments. As we all do, Prince William and Prince Harry like to share family memories and the funny times with their Grandmother are some of their favorite. When you consider that Queen Elizabeth and her entire family are highly intelligent and a sign of a high IQ is a great sense of humor then all the pieces of the puzzle fit together. She occasionally likes to enjoy a caffeinated sparkling beverage which tickles her nose. Its all tongue and cheek with a little wink in there for the fun of it.

They have always been a strong loving family. Every family has their ups and downs, but they are always family and that love binds them in humor, in dreams, in good times and in memories. I hope others wont be too hard on any of member of the family because the Windsors will always find each other.

Speaking of fun in the sun. I love the ocean and I love to envision myself back by the sea when I meditate. Here is a photo of me from last weekend. Enjoy the day and the warmth of the summer sun as it comes closer to us with each passing day.

Funny Sides of Prince William and Prince Harry

The world's favorite Princes have so much fun. They are able to work humor into their charity and official functions. Hers is a peak into some of the fun they share together and apart. Prince Harry and Prince William still like to wrestle each other much as they did when they were boys. Prince William always wins, but it doesn't stop Prince Harry from trying. One time the Duchess of Sussex tried to hop in and help Harry, but Harry would not allow it. I am told Meghan pretended to join in the fun in a very tongue and cheek way. The Princes are close as they have always been. Fatherhood has changed them both. A funny thing happened the day when Princess Charlotte was born. Prince William was trying to keep himself in a relaxed state of mind and he had a few drinks without watching. As his wife's labor progressed, he was not aware of how close she was as a result he had a  few extra drinks. Prince William is not a heavy drinker and then the drinks hit him before he knew it he was a little intoxicated with Duchess of Cambridge, his beloved wife, Kate in full labor.

They had to go to the hospital with William still a little under the influence when he got there. The Queen was not upset since she knew that he did not drink much so he was not sure how much he could drink. Duchess Kate was not upset wither in fact , she thought it was funny. He was saying how sorry he was but it did not bother her. They have known each other through so many years and so many events that she felt safe knowing he was there. Being together was all that mattered to them both. I have heard so many great stories from both William and Harry that I love them both. They are both so fun of life and their humorous side is always on the surface. Throughout all the protocol it peaks in.

On the night before their wedding, Prince William called Kate and said,"Are you sure you want to be with me in all of this." Kate replied," I'd be happy to be by your side anywhere." Being a member of the Royal family in the United Kingdom is a high profile and high responsibility job. William knew the public would fall in love with Kate just as they have done.

The Princes have their own dance they like to do on special occasions. Prince Harry does  moonwalk while Prince William does the Robot dance. It is quite a show and everybody loves it when the two break it down as they say. Someday if someone gets a video of them doing it, with their permission, I know it will go viral. They are a really good dance team . I think it would be an excellent video for a charity fundraiser. I will share more of their humor and easy going style in some of my upcoming blogs. There are so many funny things that the dup do to have them in one blog would be a very long blog but it would be a hilarious one.

Memory Slips with Prince Harry and Michelle Obama

A memorable lunch with Prince Harry occurred when I called him by the wrong name. We both laughed at the mistake. Of all things to do to call one of the worlds most famous, loveable and popular princes by the wrong name. My mind was wandering before he came in the room and I was kind of daydreaming about the beautiful day. I was caught up in with my thoughts on the sunshine. I drew a blank when he came into view. The next thing I knew I called him Tom which was weird. I said,"Hi Tom" to him. I wasn't thinking about a Tom or anything related. The name simply rolled off my tongue. Prince Harry started cracking up. He replied by saying "You don't remember my name." I said,"I know, Prince Harry. I just had a mind blank and it might be one of the world's greatest mind blanks since not many people in the world could mistake your name."

Oddly enough, a similar thing happened when Michelle Obama wanted to get my phone number. I completely drew a blank. I forgot my own phone number. I knew the ask was a joke for several of her close friends and associates had it. The odds were she had it written down somewhere or at least had a source for it. To have me write my phone number down for her was funny. Michelle Obama made the request through a mutual friend but I knew it was her humor for the writing was on the wall. That was the second mind blank I have had that drew laughter. Have you ever gotten so caught up in the pleasure of the moment that you forget things?  I believe that those moments are often referred to as being in the flow. The flow is when you are so fulfilled spiritually and psychologically in what you are doing that you forget things. I have moments like that when I enjoy myself enough that time seems to stop while it is still moving so fast. When I turn around to look at the clock what seems like only a few moments was actually several hours. Creating art, dancing and acting are activities that leave me in the flow. There are times when I am with my family and they completely amaze me. I feel those times are pure bliss while time evaporates.

A couple of years back, I recall the Duke of Sussex repeating to me with smile, "An American leg of the Royal family." He kept repeating it as if I would figure it out at some point. Prince Harry has an unusual style and is always full of surprises so I could not get what he was saying. I knew it was important because of the frequency of which he repeated himself. One thought I had was the way that certain celebrities were being given titles of honor such as Dame or other titles. For awhile, I entertained that reference but he did not say I was on to something. In fact, no other clues were given. I knew he wanted to settle down after the birth of his first nephew. The connection to the phrase eluded me and it did not start right after the birth. I did not get what he was saying until a few days after the wedding. He must have had his eye on Meghan for awhile, but he did not want everyone to know until it was the right time.

Back to the afternoon lunch we shared. After laughing a bit, the conversation recovered. Prince Harry teased me about my liking to stay up until very late at night each night. I am a notorious night owl going back to before my college days. Since he is such a caring guy, he was trying nicely to get me to break bad habits. He is a good friend to all he meets and he speaks to a lot of people all over the world. Always with a gracious smile and wonderful free spirited humor that even the Queen lets him get away with certain innocent fun, but that is a secret for them to share.
